Manhunt Over: Cops Capture Son Wanted In Father's NY Killing, Police Say
A multi-day manhunt for a man accused of killing his 70-year-old father and setting his Orange County home on fire ended after tips from the public led New York State Police to him, authorities said.
Thomas D. Ryan, 32, was taken into custody at about 12:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, following a coordinated search in Schoharie County, State Police said. Ryan was wanted in connection with the Thursday, Aug. 6 homicide of his father, Robert Ryan, at his home at 512 Greenville Turnpike in the Town of Greenville, police said.

Exposed Breast Shown In Bodycam Footage Released By Little Falls PD, Woman Alleges In Lawsuit
A New Jersey woman is suing a town and its police department, claiming officials released unredacted video last year showing her exposed breast while she was in police custody, leading to the footage being viewed hundreds of thousands of times online (lawsuit attached at the bottom of this news article).
Adrianna Smith, a Mount Olive resident, filed the 17-page lawsuit in Passaic County Superior Court on Tuesday, July 28, against the Township of Little Falls, Little Falls Police Department, civilian records clerk Robert Scalera, and unnamed employees and supervisors.

Raid Turns Up Child Porn At Bergen County Home, Prosecutor Says
A 20-year-old Bergen County man has been arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said.
On Thursday, Aug. 6, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant at the Lodi home of Jesus Arellano, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
The investigation revealed that Arellano used the Internet to view, download, and possess 191 items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children, according to Musella.
