An accounting firm will be bringing more than 100 new jobs are set to come to Fairfield County over the next several years. Connecticut Gov. Daniel Malloy announced on Monday that KPMG, the audit, tax and advisory firm, is bringing an estimated 110 jobs over the next five years in a brand new Stamford Office on Washington Boulevard. A Beacon development company, RWHPA LLC, has purchased the former IBM West/Bright solar 125-acre campus in East Fishkill in a deal brokered by McGrath Realty, Inc. Amazon Breaks Ground On $255 Million Warehouse In Connecticut
Construction crews have broken ground for the next home of Amazon’s warehouse on Washington Avenue in North Haven. The $255 million project is expected to be completed by June 2019. The warehouse will create 1,800 jobs, and ultimately 3,000, First Selectman Michael Freda told The Connecticut Post.. The warehouse will span about 1.2 million square feet, roughly the same size as the former Pratt & Whitney facility that it succeeds. A whole host of new jobs are heading to the Hudson Valley, as the MTA announced a $1.4 billion contract that will be awarded to Kawasaki to build state-of-the-art subway cars in Westchester. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board announced this week that they voted to approve the purchase of 535 next generation subway cars, which will be used on lettered routes and the Staten Island Railway.
