Azucena Lopez Rodriguez, 46, of Lynbrook, was fatally struck while crossing Sunrise Highway at the intersection of Horton Avenue at 5:33 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, according to Nassau County Police. Detectives said Lopez Rodriguez was hit by a 2012 Hyundai operated by an 18-year-old male. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead by a hospital physician.
