Twenty-one people were injured — including at least one student who suffered life-altering injuries — when a school bus carrying the Aliquippa Junior High football team crashed in Economy Borough, (Beaver County), Pennsylvania, on Saturday, Aug. 23, authorities said.

A 39-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash after losing control on the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County, police said.
The crash happened around 9:16 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, near mile marker 5.0 northbound in the Town of Mount Pleasant, New York State Police said on Thursday, Aug. 28.
State Police said Miguel Aguilar-Bruno, 39, of the Bronx, failed to navigate a curve in the roadway, lost control of his motorcycle, and struck a guardrail. The impact ejected him from the bike, and he came to rest in the left lane.

A weekend ride ended in tragedy when a motorcyclist lost control and slammed into a BMW along a Maryland roadway, police confirmed.
The victim, 30-year-old Patrick Adam Smith of Bowie, was killed in the crash, which was reported around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, near the 22000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Brookeville, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
