Search Underway For 15-Year-Old Girl Who Disappeared After Leaving Riverhead Home
A 15-year-old girl who walked away from her Long Island home has not been seen since. Kennia Alvarez Diaz left her Riverhead home on Segal Avenue around 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and never returned, according to Riverhead Town Police. Detectives believe she left on foot. Kennia is described as Hispanic, 5 feet tall and 130 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. Her clothing at the time she left is unknown. A man was ejected from a commercial lawn mower after being hit by a vehicle in Wall Township on Monday, Dec. 8, authorities said. A 75-year-old security guard was found dead at a Virginia landfill after officers were called to check on him overnight, police said.
